Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy applies to orders and inquiries placed through the MAKALI online store.
1. Current direct-checkout shipping countries
At this stage, direct checkout shipping is configured for Hong Kong and Singapore only.
For other countries or regions, buyers should use the product inquiry or cart inquiry flow. MAKALI will review the destination country, product category, quantity, documentation needs, and available logistics route before confirming whether shipment is possible.
2. Carrier and shipping fee calculation
For Hong Kong and Singapore, shipping fees are currently calculated at checkout using the EMS rate table provided by Sekai Logi. Rates are based on the total shipping weight of the order.
B2B products are generally sold by case. Product shipping weights are registered as case weights and may include reasonable allowance for inner boxes, outer cartons, and packing materials where available.
Example: if a product has a registered case weight of 8 kg and the buyer orders 3 cases, Shopify calculates the shipping weight as 24 kg and applies the corresponding EMS rate for the destination.
3. EMS limits
EMS availability is subject to carrier limits, including a maximum parcel weight of 30 kg, a maximum longest side of 150 cm, and a maximum size of longest side plus girth of 300 cm. If an order exceeds these limits, MAKALI may request manual confirmation, split shipment, alternative logistics, or a separate quote.
4. Customs, import rules, and buyer responsibility
Cosmetics, food, wellness products, hair care products, electrical items, and lifestyle products may be subject to destination-country import restrictions, product registration, ingredient rules, labeling rules, customs inspection, duties, taxes, and local permits.
The buyer is responsible for confirming that the products can be legally imported, sold, labeled, advertised, and used in the destination country or region. Checkout availability and shipping fee display do not guarantee customs clearance or import approval.
MAKALI may hold, cancel, refund, or request additional confirmation for an order if there is a known logistics, documentation, customs, or import-compliance concern.
5. Duties, taxes, and additional costs
Shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, customs brokerage fees, inspection fees, storage fees, remote-area fees, return shipping fees, and other logistics or import-related charges are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Delivery timing
Delivery timing depends on product availability, packing, carrier handling, destination-country customs clearance, local import procedures, and buyer-side documentation. Any delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
7. Failed delivery, import refusal, or customs issues
If a shipment is delayed, refused, returned, confiscated, destroyed, or restricted by customs or local authorities due to destination-country rules, missing buyer-side permits, unpaid duties or taxes, or buyer-side noncompliance, MAKALI may not be able to refund product costs, shipping fees, duties, taxes, or other related charges.
Please contact MAKALI before ordering if you are unsure whether a product can be imported into your country or region.
